Visit Budapest, one of the most picturesque cities in Europe, located on the banks of the Danube; and Berlin, a city that puts its tortured history on public display and has ironically become a magnet for young people, activists and artists around the world today.

Traveling with JDC gives you the big picture of history and contemporary challenges alongside an intimate “inside connection” to Jewish individuals today. Meet Holocaust survivors and witness both their unimaginable stories and their will to live on, and spend time with young people who are building their futures and recreating Jewish community against the odds with courage, creativity and often a good dose of humor.

In Budapest, we will join Judafest, one of the largest Jewish street festival- a public show of Jewish pride and openness, and we’ll focus on the JCC — a crucial institution of the community, as well as leadership initiatives like the Mozaik HUB. And in Berlin, we’ll learn about family programs, synagogue life and innovation.
