Who We Are

JDC Ambassadors is a transformative experience in philanthropy.

Ambassadors Circle and Society members provide strategic leadership and support for JDC, the world’s leading Jewish humanitarian assistance organization, in a number of critical areas:

  1. Helping poor and vulnerable children to succeed
  2. Ensuring the wellbeing and dignity of the elderly
  3. (Re)building inspired and caring Jewish communities
  4. Providing a Jewish response, including Israeli expertise, to disasters and crises

Ambassadors are also committed to JDC’s “smart giving” principles: the importance of combining grassroots innovation with accountability; the ability to leverage funds and build sustainable programs; and the goal of creating scalable solutions and system-wide impact.

What We Do

Ambassadors’ programs and symposia offer first-hand insight into some of the most innovative solutions to global poverty and disaster relief today.

International trips give a highly personal perspective on daily life for Jews and others in more than 70 countries in which JDC operates. There is no better way to understand a country than to be invited into the homes of local people, and no more meaningful way to demonstrate the value of global Jewish community than to interact with changemakers who are building and sustaining it around the world.

Impact Circles, for those interested in hands-on involvement, delve deeply into some of the strategic questions that guide program development and global best practices.

In addition, Society members participate in JDC Board meetings and receive opportunities for personalized JDC travel and learning.

Logging In With One of Your Social Web Site Logins

Instead of trying to remember a bunch of special username/password combinations to log in to different web sites that you visit, you can now link your account on this web site to your account on one (or more) of the social media web sites shown and log in with the same username/password combination that you use on that social web site to log in to our site.

To provide this connection in a secure manner, we use Gigya, a social network connection provider that works behind the scenes to make safe, secure connections between user accounts on different systems, such as popular social media web sites like Facebook and web sites like ours where you are actively involved in social issues and causes.

Each time you log in, Gigya uses special application programming interfaces (APIs) to establish the connection between the sites and validate your username and password. Neither our web site or Gigya receive or store your social network passwords.

In addition to reducing the number of logins you have to remember, connecting your accounts can make it quicker and easier to share an activity or cause you feel passionately about from our web site with your friends on your social web sites.
