When JDC reentered Cuba in the early '90s, the Jews were dispersed and community life diminished. Over the past 20 years, JDC has worked to help rebuild from the ground up.

Today, Jewish life on the island is thriving - with Cuban flair. Jews are celebrating Shabbat, conducting Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and enjoying Jewish holidays. With the help of JDC, the community provides its neediest members with vital assistance, including food, medicine, and companionship.
