Project Restore and Rebuild

Did you know that there is a Polish Union of Jewish Students?

This summer, make connections with them, and your heritage … in Poland.

A select group of college students from the U.S. will join members of the Polish Union of Jewish students (PUSZ) to celebrate and study a common heritage, and perform chesed (acts of loving kindness) together by cleaning and restoring a Polish Jewish cemetery.

Project Restore and Rebuild is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the present and future of the Jewish community of Poland, while paying tribute to the past. During this two week summer program, you will hear eye-opening views on the meaning of being Jewish in Poland’s history, present and evolving future. Through joint study of traditional texts, united efforts in community service, cultural exchanges and the building of personal relationships with your peers in Poland, you will gain a better understanding of this complex, re-emerging Jewish community than you possibly can from any tour.

  • Take an active role in building a global Jewish community
  • Pay tribute to Polish Jewry’s 1000 year past and experience its current development
  • Create unforgettable connections with members of Hillel and young Polish Jews
  • Become a link in the JDC lifeline to Polish Jewry
  • Broaden your understanding of world Jewry, and its impact on your identity
