|
Kosovo Relief and Assistance  In the spring of 1999, the Yugoslav province of Kosovo erupted in violence. At the height of the crisis, there were more than 800,000 refugees and internally displaced persons from Kosovo that had fled to other areas of the region, including neighboring Albania and Macedonia. The Jewish Coalition for Kosovo Relief and Assistance was established soon after the crisis began.
