The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) has been ranked in Charity Navigator’s list, 10 of the Best Charities Everyone’s Heard Of.
The distinction is given to “charities work[ing] throughout the country and the world ... [that] became household names in part because of their exceptional financial management.”
Charity Navigator is the largest independent evaluator of philanthropies in the U.S. and provides information and evaluates the financial health of more than 5,000 charities.
“This vote of confidence in JDC is gratifying, and certainly reinforces the importance of our global humanitarian program,” said JDC’s CEO Steven Schwager.
JDC is the recipient of Charity Navigator’s highest 4-star rating; is among the Non Profit Times’ Top 100 nonprofits; and is an accredited charity with the Better Business Bureau.
