For Immediate Release
The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) is accepting applications for its 2011-2012 Jewish Service Corps (JSC) through March 15, 2011. JSC is a year-long, paid, professional opportunity for recent college graduates and young professionals to directly engage with JDC’s global mission and actively fulfill the value of Jewish responsibility. JSC fellows play a hands-on role in addressing global Jewish and humanitarian challenges and building awareness while in the field and upon their return. Apply now at www.JDC.org/jsc.
“As we tackle critical social and economic challenges and foster Jewish life around the globe, we’re privileged to have a group of young people in JSC whose passionate dedication is helping to change the world, community by community. We look forward to welcoming a new group of JSC fellows this year, continuing our tradition of turning words of Jewish responsibility into action,” said JDC CEO Steven Schwager.
JDC currently has twenty-six JSC fellows serving in 12 countries: Argentina, Estonia, Ethiopia, Germany, India, Israel, Poland, Russia, Rwanda, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine. Read blog updates from current JSC Fellows:
