Following the horrific killings of a teacher and three students at the Ozar Hatorah School in Toulouse, JDC President Penny Blumenstein, CEO Steven Schwager, and Europe Director Alberto Senderey released the following statement:
“We are horrified and outraged by today’s barbaric attack at the Ozar Hatorah School in Toulouse. Understanding full well the notion that all Jews are responsible for one another, we mourn the loss of these innocent lives and stand together, at this time of sorrow, with the entire French Jewish Community. We hope and pray that the perpetrators will be swiftly apprehended and brought to justice.”
JDC, a global Jewish organization operating in more than 70 countries worldwide, is in direct contact with the French Jewish community through its office in Paris and is continuously monitoring the situation as it develops. Over the years, JDC has partnered with the Ozar Hatorah educational system on a variety of projects including its current work in Morocco.
