Class in Session: Educating Haiti’s Children

Three months after the earthquake, JDC partnered with local Haitian NGO PRODEV to open up tent schools for 3,000 displaced children in Port-au-Prince. The temporary schools in the tent cities offered a quality curriculum, employment opportunities for local teachers and university students, and a sense of normalcy restored to the children’s lives.
