With roughly 120,000 Jews, Hungary is home to the third largest Jewish community in Europe. The Federation of Hungarian Jewish Communities is the umbrella organization for the twenty-two Jewish communities in Hungary today. Over the last decade, smaller organizations have emerged to meet Hungarian Jews’ diverse interests and needs. JDC works with these various groups to help move Hungarian Jewry toward eventual self-sufficiency.
