Fourth Quarter 2005 Update
The Taub Center Annual Forum, was held in November 2005 under the auspice of the President of Israel, Mr. Moshe Katsav. The forum was attended by dignitaries from various government ministries, individuals who hold important posts in Israel’s economy, society and social organizations, as well as Taub center experts and senior social policy researchers.
Discussion topics included:
- Dramatic Developments in Domestic Policy
- Economic Developments
- Briefing the IMF Mission
- Health Care
- Employment and Unemployment
- Education
- Personal Social Services
Taub Center opened the forum with a discussion on the findings of their 2005 social policy report noting that, "…despite the economic growth and improvement the situation of the weak social groups and the social economic gaps in society as a whole are continuing to worsen."
