JDC today announced that it would ship medical supplies to Kenya. The supply shipment, which includes medications for the treatment of trauma and infections as well as bandages and additional first aid equipment, will be transferred through the Israeli Embassy in Kenya to two hospitals in Nairobi and to Kisomo in western Kenya. The shipment will be transferred through the MASHAV Center for International Cooperation, a branch of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

JDC International Development Program (IDP) has been cooperating with local Kenyan authorities for over a year to develop a long-term program which will train individuals for senior positions in the field of strategic planning. The shipment is aimed at providing some relief and expressing support for the local authorities.

The International Development Program operates in 64 countries around the world, providing humanitarian aid to countries that have experienced traumatic events, such as natural disasters and/or other occurrences. Learn more about JDCIDP’s current activities.
