The Jerusalem Post is featuring an insightful profile of the Jewish community in Krakow that colorfully illustrates what JDC has known for quite some time: Jewish life is thriving in Poland.

JDC has long worked with Polish Jewish organizations to help rebuild local Jewish life in both body and soul. We’ve been making sure that the neediest Jews in Poland, especially the elderly and vulnerable young families, have the basics for survival, like food and medicine as well as quality care. And we continue to invest in a vibrant Jewish future through youth clubs, camps, student organizations, and leadership training that are at the heart of Poland’s Jewish renaissance today. Mostly it’s about helping people connect to Judaism in a way that is inviting and comfortable for them, and the recent Inbal Cultural Festival outside of Krakow, pictured above, is just one of the myriad ways JDC is helping to engage Jews in Poland every day.
